Blue Sonki

Blue Sonki an erect branched plant, half a meter tall. Alternately arranged, stalkless, broad-elliptic leaves, are acute at both ends. Leaf margin is coarsely serrated, rough, glandular. Leaves are light green above, pale beneath. Blue-purple flower-heads occcur in corymbose panicles. Bracts oblong, hairy, grandular; style arms hairy. It is occasionally found in grasslands at high elevations on Western Ghats.
