Acrochordus granulatus

Little File Snake or Marine File Snake is the smallest member of family Achrochordidae which grows up to 122cm. It is found near to shore up to 2-10km away and at the depth of 4-20mtr. Morphologically it looks very close to Sea Snakes (Subfamily Hydrophiinae) due to presence of dark bands on rough body and similar head. However in former tail is compressed but not Oar-like" which is specific character of Sea Snakes. Also head and body scales of A. granulatus are very minute and hard to count but in Sea Snakes they are found in countable and definable limits. This species is one of the most common marine snake in its range and often got trapped in fishing net."
